We're so used to having a baby around, sometimes Harry gets to fill the need--the temporary need to cuddle a cute little one.
What you aren't seeing here is the desperate struggle for freedom. Harry HATES being held like this...which of course is why Jim enjoys it so much. So Jim just keeps reading the happy story while Harry is snarling and fighting tooth-and-nail to break free from the headlock he's being held in. It's pretty funny.
