Whas Uuuuuuuuuuuuup?????

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and do, indeed extend wishes for the Happiest of New Years.

Christmas this year was relaxing, low-key, fun and great. We scaled things back quite a bit this year and found that it was very nice. The kids were just as happy with less presents and I didn't have that sick-to-my-stomach, "this is totally obscene" feeling when looking at the pile of gifts under the tree. A win-win. Thank you, crappy economy.

Anywho... I thought I'd do a little more catching up on the latest around here. Since I found my camera, this one will be a photo-tour.

I think I mentioned the hike we took back in November...well, here are some pics from that outing:

Here are some pics of Christmas Eve with my parents...
The Classic Christmas Eve picture-watching A Christmas Story.

And, what would a Donkin Christmas Eve be without Danny coming-to after his traditional Christmas Eve seizure and refusing to open his annual copy of Back To The Future (I, II and/or III) and scowling at everyone...

And this weekend was very exciting for us Arizonians...we got to see snow! Not here, of course. But we went up to the mountains and played in it and had jolly good frollicking fun with some friends.

Sophia didn't want to wear a warm coat... at first... here she is beginning to rethink that choice...

It looks like you guys have had a fun year! We still have so much in common. Our Christmas was scaled back too & I LOVED IT!

Also, I miss Danny, I love those little stories about him. I have so many great memories of him & your whole family as kids. One in particular was when I was over at your house & your mom was gone & Danny spilled a box of cereal all over the kitchen floor & you & Sam worked really hard & fast to get it cleaned up. Now, that I think back on it, I don't remember helping you clean it up, sorry. I did think it was funny though!

Happy New Year!

Wish we could have all been together. It just doesn't feel like Christmas without all of us together. Maybe some day!!! Give Lydia a big hug and kiss for me. I'm so proud of her and wish that I could be there for her baptism this weekend. I love all of you,
